2022 Kids Indigenous Run Out Tee

Incorporating the artists – Kayannie Denigan’s unique style, and the evocative creative writing of the NRL School to Work participants, involved in the University of Canberra’s Story Ground Program, facilitated by Dr Paul Collis, this artwork represents Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ enduring connections to country.

This style is inspired by the aerial view of the land of the Kayannie’s ancestors, the stark but beautiful delineation of shrubs, grasses, rocks and sand dunes. The artwork features five distinct panels that incorporate the themes contained in the work of six NRL School to Work participant’s creative writing, and the design represents our varying connections to country:
